I read this story about a young woman who saved her virginity for marriage and on her wedding day, presented her father with a signed certificate from her doctor validating her virginity and how she truly honored God with her body for her future husband. It was truly such a powerful testimony and will help so many others to want and actively preserve themselves for marriage. I then began to look at my own life and how I won’t be able to do that. I am not a virgin and won’t be able to present anything like that when my times come. I honestly began to feel a little discouraged because it was due to my own choices that I didn’t choose to wait, even though that was always God’s will for me.
But then the Holy Spirit began ministering to me, “You can’t speak on being a virgin until marriage……..that’s not your lane anymore, HOWEVER, she can’t speak to not being a virgin and the lessons that I have taught you to share with others in your similar situation.”
She lived her life one way & can now minister in that way. But what about the people who can’t relate to her? Who lived in a different way but are looking to make a change?
I realized that I can speak to those just like me. My story. My testimony is meant for someone else. To help them and minister to them as so many have ministered to me.
What is your testimony? What has God helped you overcome that you thought was all bad, but He used it for the good?
One of my favorite scriptures says this,
28 That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.
Romans 8:28 | MSG
Every little detail of our life, God is able to coordinate it for good. To show you how mighty He is, and to also show someone else who is struggling with that exact thing. Don’t ever underestimate your story, it serves a mighty purpose. You just have to share. Don’t let the enemy make your feel ashamed or embarrassed because when God forgave us, He has moved on from it and has graced us to do the same.
Share your story. Your testimony. You never know, I may just be the key to say someone’s life. Don’t be ashamed of it, but walk in truth.
Be encouraged this week and I would love to hear your story. I pray God’s continued strength in your life.
Yours, but more importantly His,
